DDC Doda reviews performance of Banks at DLRC meeting

Doda, Oct03: District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan on Monday chaired a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting here at DC office, to review the performance of banks and other financial institutions in the district.
During the meeting, the DDC held threadbare discussion with regard to the lending in priority, non-priority, agro sector, number of self- employment cases sponsored by the intending departments, the cases sanctioned, cases disbursed, pending for disbursement. Besides, the Committee also reviewed the implementation of Mumkin scheme, Tejaswani, PMEGP, MUDRA, NULM, NPAs, and progress of ADHAAR linkage.
The DDC directed the financial institutions to increase the lending in priority sector from 15%, especially in the Agricultural Infrastructure and Education sector.
He stressed on 100% disbursement of self-employment sponsored/ sanctioned cases by different departments.
Taking the review of ADHAAR linkage with accounts by different banks, the DDC directed the concerned to link remaining 16133 accounts with ADHAAR in a time bound manner.
The recovery of ineligible accounts was also discussed in detail in the meeting. The DDC exhorted the officers and banks to lay special focus on the self employment schemes because it is the critical component which aims to generate maximum livelihood among the unemployed youth.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda Suresh Kumar, LDM Parveen Kumar, Manager RBI Rohit Kashyap, District Manager NABARD, CAHO, CAO, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Doda, DIO DIPR Doda, Zonal Officer JK Bank, District Manager KVIB, other officers/representatives of various departments and banks operating in the district.
