Bandipora, July 23: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Wednesday visited Zurimanz village to assess public concerns and developmental needs. He was accompanied by a team of officers from the district administration.A statement issued here said that during the visit, residents raised several pressing demands, including the upgradation of the main access road, which frequently gets submerged due to the rise in Wular Lake water levels. Other key issues included the shifting of the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) to government accommodation, resumption of the halted construction work on the local hospital, availability of doctors and ambulance services at the NTPHC, surplus ration distribution, creation of a separate Panchayat Halqa, and the development of a designated parking area in the village. The DC gave a patient hearing to the grievances and assured the public that all demands would be addressed in a time-bound manner. Regarding the road submergence issue, he informed that the proposal for upgradation has already been submitted to the government and is under consideration for approval. Among others, the DC was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Tehsildar Bandipora, and other concerned officers from the district administration.
