DC Poonch conducts comprehensive review of child protection bodies

Poonch, Oct 14: Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal on Monday conducted a review of the working of child protection bodies in district Poonch.
DC emphasised that the focus must be on preventive action for which vulnerable children at local level should be mapped ensuring timely interventions and timely implementation of various schemes for the welfare and safety of children without fail.
Kundal emphasised on regularly conducting drives to ensure that no child labour takes place in Poonch and directed officials to take strict action against those employing children, especially those aged less than 14 years in unsafe circumstances.
The meeting was attended by Members of District Child Protection members Poonch, Child Welfare Committees, Juvenile Justice Board members.
