Ganderbal, June 28: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY), Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Saturday visited the Baltal Base Camp to take firsthand assessment of the ongoing preparations and chaired a meeting with concerned officers to review the arrangements being made to ensure a smooth and hassle-free Yatra.
A statement issued here said that during the meeting, the DC was briefed by officers from various departments regarding the status of arrangements put in place. The administration has made elaborate preparations including camping facilities, medical care, upgradation of tracks, uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation and improved mobile connectivity. The DC reviewed key infrastructure components such as accommodation facilities, sanitation, essential services, and overall preparedness for the arrival of pilgrims at the Baltal Base Camp. Most of the departments informed that they have already finalized their preparations for the Yatra.
