Udhampur, Aug 10: In a vibrant display of devotion and cultural heritage, the revered Chandi Mata Shobha Yatra was ceremoniously flagged off by Vice Chairperson of the District Development Council Udhampur Juhi Manhas Pathania. The sacred procession commenced from the scenic village of Sumwal in Tehsil Majalta, embarking on its spiritual journey to the historic Chandi Mata Mandir at Machail in Kishtwar.According to a statement issued here, organised under the stewardship of Raj Kumar, the yatra drew an enthusiastic gathering of devotees, dignitaries and local residents. The event radiated deep religious fervour, uniting people in faith and reverence for the divine. Addressing the assembled devotees, Pathania extended her heartfelt blessings and best wishes to all participants. She underlined the enduring cultural and spiritual significance of such yatras, noting that they not only strengthen communal bonds but also serve as a powerful medium for preserving age-old traditions and heritage. The Shobha Yatra will traverse through several villages enroute, with devotees from each location joining the sacred procession.
