Srinagar, Oct 28: The training programme was conducted at Ajas, Bandipora under Project No.15, entitled as “Rain-fed Area Development” sponsored under “Holistic Agriculture Development Project” (HADP). The Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Lone (Professor, DARS, Rangreth) and Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Bahar (Professor, DARS, Rangreth).
The event attracted the participation of 30 local farmers, who benefited from the valuable insights shared by the scientists. Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Lone introduced modern technologies applicable to rainfed agriculture, while Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Bahar emphasized various farming practices pertinent to integrated farming system.
Following the program, participants received essential agricultural inputs, including high-quality seeds of the Shalimar Pea-1 variety, biofertilizers, and vermicompost, aimed at supporting their upcoming planting season. Farmers expressed their appreciation for such training initiatives, highlighting their role in empowering the agricultural community and enhancing overall productivity. The distribution of inputs was met with enthusiasm, reflecting the farmers’ gratitude for the support provided through the HADP-sponsored program.
