Ganderbal, Jan 19: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Sunday announced the remarkable achievement of its student, Malik Ishtiyaq Ahmad, from the M.P.Ed 4th Semester who secured first position in Rhythmic Yogasana and third position in Artistic Yogasana at the prestigious 36th National Yogasana Championship 2024-25.
A statement issued here said that the championship witnessed participation of over 600 contestants from 15 states across India, underscoring the high level of competition. The event was organized by Sakti Sangha Vayamager and Sankalp Foundation Midnapore, West Bengal, in collaboration with the SARA Bangla Yoga and Sports Association and the All-India Yoga Culture Federation.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, extended his congratulations to Malik and assured continued support for students to showcase their talents on national platforms. Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zarger, Dean School of Education, Prof. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, and I/C Director-Sports Dr. Kaukab Azeem, along with other faculty members, also congratulated Malik and wished him success in his future endeavours.
