Jammu, Jan 05:  Congress Sewa Dal led by its J&K President Vijay Sharma Babbi Thursday organized rally as Congress Sewa Dal enters 100th year of formation.
The rally was flagged off by JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani, JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Manmohan Singh, Pranav Shagotra, Rajinder Rasrania AICSD Secretary in-charge J&K.  The rally started from Gandhi Nagar Gole Market and passed through Guru Nanak Nagar, Shiva Ji Chowk, Bahu Plaza, Bag-E-Bahu, Gujjar Nagar Tawi Bridge and culminated at party headquarter Saheedi Chowk, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, JKPCC Chief said that welfare of the common people is at the heart of the Congress ideology. “With our unwavering commitment to serve; we will strive to ensure the welfare and happiness of every Indian”.
He said that the role of Seva Dal is to ensure that information about government initiated development programmes reaches the public in every nook and cranny. He said the Seva Dal is known for its military discipline and passion, which is reflected in its organisational fabric and method of operation.
Wani charged the government with creating division, hatred, and continued unemployment in the nation. The concept of India, he claimed, was constantly under attack. “Hatred is deepening every day across the country. People are burdened due to inflation and unemployment, but the government is unconcerned,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, JKPCC Working President  Bhalla said Congress has always worked for the well-being and progress of the people. “We firmly believe in equality of opportunity guaranteed in political, economic & social rights, enshrined in the Constitution of India,” said Bhalla.
He attacked the government, saying the fundamentals of India are being constantly attacked and the society is being “divided by hate”.  He said Rahul Gandhi has made a beginning towards uniting the people through his Bharat Jodo Yatra and that is why it is getting overwhelming support from the public and the BJP is rattled. “We urge every citizen to join the Yatra,” he said and added, “We assure you that we are ready to live up to your expectations”.
