Ingredients:
· Chicken: 1.5 kg
· Yellow Chana Daal (yellow lentils): 150 gm
· Chopped garlic: 2 table spoon
· Turmeric: 1 table spoon
· Kashmiri red chili powder: 1 table spoon
· Cardamom: 4 green
· Black cardamoms: 3
· Clove: 3
· Cinnamon sticks: 2
· Funnel powder: 1 teaspoon
· Dry ginger powder: 1 teaspoon
· Water: 1.5 liter
· Salt as per taste
· Oil for frying
Method:
· Take a cooking pot and add chicken into it. Also pure chopped garlic, turmeric, Kashmiri red chili powder, green cardamom, black cardamon, cloves, cinnamon stick, fennel powder, ginger powder, water salt as per taste, chana daal and mix it well.
· Now cook this mixture on high flame for around 6 minutes.
· Cover the cooking pot, put the flame on low and cook until it becomes soft.
· Cook on high flame while continuously stirring until the gravy gets enough reduced.
· Now turn off the flame and let this mixture cool down.
· Debone the chicken and discard all the whole spice residue and bones from the chicken.
· With the help of mortel and pestle, pound it very well until it achieves a thick consistency.
· Make the round-shaped kebabs with your hands and them aside one by one.
· Take a pan and heat the oil.
· Fry these kebabs in this oil from both sides till they become golden brown.
· Your delicious shami kebabs are ready. You can garnish them with fresh coriander and serve them with any chutney of your choice. Share this recipe with your family and friends.
