Budgam, Aug 01: The Chief Education Officer of Budgam has prohibited unauthorised visits by media personnel, NGOs, and private organisations to government schools without prior consent from the appropriate authority.In an official circular, the Chief Education Officer of Budgam said that it has come to attention that certain media representatives, NGOs, and private entities are accessing government schools without the necessary prior approval from the competent authority. Such visits have resulted in unnecessary disruptions to academic activities and have compromised the privacy and discipline of the school environment.”All Heads of Institutions from Primary to Higher Secondary Level within the jurisdiction of Budgam district are hereby instructed to strictly forbid any visits by media personnel, NGOs, or private organizations to school premises without prior written consent from the undersigned. The Cluster Head, Principals, Zonal Education Officers, and Head masters of High Schools are strongly advised to comply with these guidelines in both letter and spirit,” official directive said.The CEO said that no media personnel, individuals, or organisations shall be permitted to conduct interviews, videography, photography, or surveys in any school without official authorization.”If any individual or agency approaches the school for such purposes, the matter must be reported immediately to the Chief Educational Office of Budgam,” the order reads.It further said that in cases of urgent or legitimate needs for external interaction, the institution must secure written permission from the Chief Education Officer of Budgam.The CEO of Budgam warned that any violation of this directive will be taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action in accordance with established norms.
