Jammu, May 01: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision for caste census will go a long way to ensure equitable distribution of benefits to all sections of the society.
In a statement issued here, Chugh said various development schemes spearheaded by the Modi government will be categorically touching the last man in the queue as envisioned by the Ekatma philosophy of Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya and social justice as envisioned by Dr B R Ambedkar.
He accused the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of playing divisive politics in the name of votes. “The Gandhi family has made a political statement which stands exposed to the nation. Congress has always tried to divide the society on a class and religious basis for electoral purposes,” he alleged.
“The nation has taken a big new step which will go a long way to empower all sections of the society,” Chugh added.
