Srinagar, June 25: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader and Member of Parliament (MP) from Srinagar, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Tuesday visited the fire tragedy site at Bazar Masjid in Bohri Kadal.
The purpose of Mehdi’s visit was to evaluate the situation and offer support to those impacted by the unfortunate event, the party said in a statement issued here. Joined by local party unit functionaries, Mehdi expressed his sympathy to the families affected by the recent tragedy and prayed for their swift recovery.
He assured the victims and traders that he would advocate for their rehabilitation and recovery with all concerned government agencies. During his interactions with the fire victims, Aga acknowledged the hardships they were facing and promised to do everything in his capacity to support their rehabilitation efforts.
The MP from Srinagar called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the incident and appealed for community-based assistance in helping the fire victims rebuild their lives.
Earlier, Provincial President YNC (Kashmir) Salman Ali Sagar visited the fire tragedy site to assess the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
