Baramulla, April 04: The Baramulla district in Kashmir division has achieved a noteworthy milestone by topping the ongoing enrollment drive across all educational institutions.

An officer in the department of education said that with a total of 14,671 new enrollments, the district recorded an impressive 12.03% increase, securing the first rank among all districts.

This development marks a significant achievement for Baramulla district, highlighting the region’s commitment to education and access to learning opportunities.

The enrollment drive was kick started by Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain with a special 10 days long enrollment drive from Sub Division Uri during which more than 1500 new entrants including out of school and dropout children were enrolled in the first instance.

Balbir Singh Raina, the Chief Education Officer of Baramulla, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the educational institutions’ team in securing the first rank in the ongoing enrollment drive.

He encouraged them to continue working with even more dedication and zeal to achieve the desired targets.

“Providing quality education to the students is our top priority,” CEO Baramulla said.

He appealed to all the stakeholders including the teaching community to participate in the enrollment drive without affecting the school work.

Balbir Singh stressed the teachers and concerned officials to toil hard for ensuring meaningful enrollment in their respective schools.

He also gave on spot directions to all the educational heads to make people aware with regard to the special drive and also expressed hope that during this drive, government schools will witness the highest number of new entrants across the district.

“The government is all set to provide the best possible facilities at government schools so that more and more students are benefited at the educational institutions,” CEO Baramulla added.
