On the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, which occurred on August 5, 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir organized a mega “Ekatma Mahotsav Rally” at Bana Singh Stadium in RS Pura to commemorate the new begining of a new chapter of development, peace and progress in Jammu & Kashmir.

The senior BJP leaders also appealed to the people of Jammu & Kashmir to wholeheartedly support the BJP in the next Assembly Elections in J&K to promote development, improve infrastructure and attain sustainable & lasting peace in the region.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy Gangapuram, BJP National General Secretary Sh. Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President Sh. Ravinder Raina, BJP National Secretary Dr Narinder Singh, former Dy CM Sh. Kavinder Gupta, BJP General Secretary (Organization) Sh. Ashok Koul, Vice-President Sh. Sham Choudhary, General Secretaries Adv. Vibodh Gupta, Dr. Devinder Manyal, former Minister Sh. Chander Parkash Ganga, Sh. Ashwani Sharma, Prof Gharu Ram, Sh. Baldev Singh Billawaria, Sh. Vikram Randhawa, Sh. Keshav, Ch Darshan Singh, Sh. Sunil Dutt, Smt. Rekha Mahajan, Sh. Dharminder, Smt. Vidhya Mottan, Smt. Surekha, Smt. Swarn Lata, Smt. Neelam and others addressed the rally.

Sh. Kishan Reddy Gangapuram while addressing the rally, said that Jammu & Kashmir has faced many difficulties due to the Abdullah family and Pakistan. He said that they along with the skewed leadership of Congress arrested the development of J&K, and gave rise to separatism here.Today, under the strong leadership of PM Modi and HM Sh. Amit Shah a historic decision to abrogate Article 370 was taken. He said that Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee and others sacrificed their lives for Jammu & Kashmir and the whole nation has lived the struggle of Jammu & Kashmir. The constitution of Dr Ambedkar was implemented in the rest of India but was not implemented in J&K and now the abrogation of Article 370 has marked the implementation of Constitution in J&K as well. It was a herculean task to hoist the national flag in Kashmir earlier, but now the national flag hoists with pride in every corner of Jammu & Kashmir including the Lal Chowk. The day of 05 August has marked the beginning of a new dawn of development in J&K.

Under the Modi government the focus has shifted to tourism from terrorism. No terrorism but tourism and development in Jammu & Kashmir and the Modi government will curb it to the last extent. Now democracy has strengthened; SCs, STs, OBCs, Pahris are given rights after the abrogation of Article 370, said Sh. G. Kishan Reddy.

Sh. Kishan Reddy further said that the Modi government avenged the killing of every single jawan. He stressed that the people have chosen the Modi government in the Parliament elections, and the people have decided to support the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections and the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sh. Tarun Chugh in his address, said that on this day, the final tribute was paid to the ‘do vidhan, do nishan, do pradhan’ in the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir. He remembered the sacrifice of Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee and his arrest while entering J&K. He said that the BJP progressed with the pious thought of unifying the J&K with the rest of India in letter and spirit, which was achieved by the Modi government on 5th August 2019. Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi implemented the Constitution of India in Jammu and Kashmir as wished by Dr. BR Ambedkar. Today, our government of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Sh. Narendra Modi government is continuously working on these three issues of development, trust and security in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that nobody can now bring back 370, while mentioning the articulations of Abdullah and Mufti on the abrogation of Article 370. He also took a jibe that they both lost the elections in their bastion. He charged the then CM Dr Farooq Abdullah for the regrettable displacement of Kashmiris in the horrible circumstances. He also warned the people who ask for a repeat of 1990, that now Sh. Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India who has the guts to deal with the iron hand. The rule of 3 families pushed J&K into the bloodshed. As long as even one BJP worker is alive, who follows Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, and Premnath Dogra, and who has respect for Tikka Lal ji, this nightmare of yours will neither be fulfilled nor will it be allowed to happen, Chugh told Abdullahs and Muftis.

Sh. Ravinder Raina in his address, congratulated the people of Jammu & Kashmir on the anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 and remembered the contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh, Pt Prem Nath Dogra, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee and other greats. He said that on this auspicious day, the injustice with the WPRs, PoJK displaced and other communities was undone. Congress party did grave injustice to the communities of J&K like Valmiki, Gujjar-Bakerwal, OBCs, SCs, women of J&K. Due to this day, today the WPRs have got proprietary rights on the lands after 70 years. He thanked the Modi government and the LG administration for the reformatory and development decisions for the betterment of the people. He mentioned the major development and infrastructure initiatives like road networks, AIIMS, IIT, IIIM, medical colleges, educational institutes and other major projects to boost the socio-economic development in the region. He labeled the Congress, NC, and PDP as the supporters of terrorists. He also appealed to the people of Jammu &Y Kashmir to vote in the favour of BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections to promote development and peace.

Meanwhile, in BJP office Kachi Chawni, senior party leaders, Sh. Sat Sharma, former BJP President & former Minister, Sh. Yudhvir Sethi, BJP Vice-President, Sh. Parmod Kapahi, BJP District President, Sh. Arvind Gupta, Smt. Veenu Khanna BJP Secretaries, Smt. Sanjita Dogra, Mahila Morcha President and others hoisted ‘Tiranga’.
