Srinagar, Mar 22: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir Unit on Friday launched a bikers’ campaign in all 27 constituencies. The initiative aims to inform people about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schemes and highlight success stories, with a particular focus on reaching remote areas, the party said
J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul flagged off the party Vistaraks (full-timers) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in various areas of J&K.
Party spokesperson Altaf Thakur told Rising Kashmir that it is a “historic” bikers’ campaign in Kashmir to reach people in every corner of the valley. These Vistaraks, or full-timers, are tasked with various responsibilities such as voter outreach, campaign coordination and mobilisation efforts, he said.
“Our mission is simple yet profound: to bring the message of hope, progress, and opportunity directly to the doorsteps of every Kashmiri. Through tireless effort and unwavering dedication, we aim to inspire trust, foster unity, and pave the way for a brighter future for all,” he said.
Thakur said each constituency holds its own set of challenges and unique demographics, making the task at hand both daunting and crucial. “Yet, the determination of these bikers knows no bounds as they go through winding roads, mountain passes, and serene valleys to reach communities often neglected by traditional campaigning methods,” he said.
The BJP spokesperson further said that the essence of the campaign lies in direct interaction. “As the bikers make their way through towns and villages, they will engage in conversations with locals and share firsthand accounts of individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by government schemes,” he said. “From rural electrification to entrepreneurial success stories fostered by initiatives like Startup India, the narratives serve to illustrate the tangible benefits brought about by PM Modi’s vision.”
We will launch separate door-to-door campaigns in the region, Thakur added.
