National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A compromised and jeopardised the right of Jammu and Kashmir youth on jobs exclusively meant for the bonafide state subjects.

Addressing public meetings at PATOLI in JAMMU NORTH ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCY Mr Sadhotra held BJP responsible for abusing the honour, pride and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at large, saying that the Jumla type tall promises proved hoax, especially in the front of employment,
development, economic upliftment of poor and doubling the income of farmers.

He said the people are feeling abject neglect and deprivation of even basic amenities since past ten years in particular. The youth are finding themselves pushed to the wall due to burgeoning unemployment with no chance of job availability in near future.

The NC Additional General Secretary said the BJP should not take the people’s resilience for-granted as they have made up their mind for change by their power of ballot in the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha now and later in the Assembly Polls. He said while the National Conference candidates in the three Parliamentary Constituencies are registering a big win, the INDIA block candidates too are poised for big win in the three Jammu and Ladakh seats. He exhorted the sagacious electors to cast their votes in favour of the INDIA bloc candidates in Jammu, Udhampur, Ladakh and Kashmir Valley Constituencies in a big way.

The NC believes in unity in diversity of with equal opportunities of progress, development and jobs to all, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, region and religion,he added. He said INDIA Bloc is committed to strong India and protect the Constitution of the Country at all cost.
Mr Sadhotra said the National Conference has remained sensitive to the distinct urges and aspirations of the regions and sub-regions but what has now panned out is quite disgusting and disturbing. The BJP should not undermine the sensitivities of the people and disrespect their urges, as it has been doing since 2019 after stripping off the special status of J&K, he said.

1/2Mr Sadhotra observed that the BJP should publicly own responsibility of the mess created over the years as a result of which the people have suffered hugely on all fronts. He said development has remained a far cry, confined to papers only, given the obtaining conditions on ground zero. The erratic power supply and scarce drinking water has been traumatizing the people, he said.

Hundreds of youth joined National Conference. Mr Sadhotra congratulated and welcomed the new entrants and hoped that their joining will strengthen our party and the leadership.

He also referred to the growing sense of alienation among the people of Jammu and Kashmir, saying this could snowball in frustration and dejection if corrective measures are not undertaken at earnest.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Thakur Ghar Singh Manhas, Raghubir Singh Manhas District President, Ghar Singh Chib Joint
Secretary Jammu Province and former Corporator, Rakesh Sharma District President YNC, Gurnam Singh Block President, Ashwani Charak Block President, Mr Ramesh Verma (Zaku) OBC President, Sat Pal Karloopia former Corporator, Nanak Singh Jamwal, Rinku Sharma, Anupam Manhas, Rajinder Kumar, Rinku Chowdhary, Asha Kumari and Shallu Rani.(KNS)
