Srinagar, Nov 11: Jammu and Kashmir cabinet minister Satish Sharma on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of undermining the Dogra identity and compromising the region’s resources.
“We need to unite to make Jammu and Kashmir prosperous and restore statehood and special status to protect the land and jobs of locals,” Sharma told reporters here.
He said there is a need for united efforts to bridge the divide between the two regions of Jammu and Kashmir and reject the divisive “Jammu vs Kashmir” ideology.
The minister called for tackling the drug menace and pledged that the government will take strong action against those involved in it to protect the youth of J&K.
