Udhampur, July 03: “Unlike other political parties which are into the habit of going to the people after five years only, the BJP believes in keeping close contact with people on a 24×7 basis. That is why the grievance redressal mechanisms have been set up by the party from the national level up to state and district levels,” said Ranbir Singh Pathania, BJP spokesperson on Monday.
While conducting grievance redressal proceedings at the BJP headquarters in Udhampur, Pathania said the party activists and senior leaders have also been asked and trained to maintain constant touch with the people.
He called for the timely distribution of drinking water supply in rural areas of Udhampur and said that due to recent unscheduled electricity cuts, the drinking water supply has been impaired in major parts of the district. He also called for proper coordination between mechanical and civil wings to ensure a hassle-free drinking water supply.
The BJP spokesperson called upon the PDD to refrain from resorting to unscheduled power cuts, saying, “These unscheduled power cuts and drinking water supply issues create a big question mark on the credibility of the Jal Shakti Department as well as the department of PDD.”
In another function at Balpur Nakki, scores of people joined the BJP after being impressed by the party’s policies and programmes, the statement said.
Pathania while addressing the new joiners said the people are the core of the nation. “The Central government and its public-friendly measures have increased the faith of the people in the democratic credentials of the country. Days are no more when elected PMs expressed despair that only 15% of the amount goes to the people and 85% was pilfered midway. People have full faith and satisfaction over the policies and programmes of Modi Sarkar,” he said.
