Authorities announce power shutdown in Sgr areas on July 19, 21

Srinagar, Jul 16: According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 KV Nowbugh-Nagam line shall be observed to carry out the construction of the 33 KV Nowbugh-Khanda line from GSS Nowbugh via Kuzwara Gowherpora. During this time, the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Char-I, Char-II, Hafroo, and Nagam will remain off, and power supply to Kakawring, Yousmarg, Charisharief, Rakhayee, Tilsera, Badipora, Nagam, Hayatpora, Hafroo, Bizgo, Loolipora, and adjoining areas will be affected from 06:00 to 14:00 hours on 19 July 2025.In this connection, a shutdown of the 33 KV Nowbugh-Chadoora line shall also be observed, during which the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Chadoora, Panzan, Ranger, and Wathoora will remain off. Power supply to Sogam, Repora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Chadoora, Chadoora Hospital, Wathoora, Bugam, and adjoining areas will be affected from 06:00 to 14:00 hours on 19 July 2025.Additionally, to complete pending works related to the commissioning of an additional 6.3 MVA power transformer installed at Zirpora, a shutdown of the 33 KV Zirpora Tap line shall be observed. During this period, the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Zirpora and Cheniwudar will remain off, and power supply to Srigufwara, Bewoora, Kanelwan, Darigund, Thajiwara, Dupatyar, and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 to 14:00 hours on 19 July 2025.Furthermore, to facilitate preventive maintenance of the Khiram Tap line and the Receiving Station at Khiram, a shutdown of the 33 KV Khiram Tap line shall be observed. The 33/11 KV Receiving Station at Khiram will remain off, and power supply to Mehand, Khiram, Sirhama, and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 to 14:00 hours on 19 July 2025.In addition, maintenance work on the 33 KV O/H Centaur Backup line near the Botanical Garden and pruning of overgrown tree branches outside Cheshmashahi Grid will be carried out. During this work, no Receiving Station will be off, and power supply to any areas will not be affected.Similarly, a shutdown of the 33 KV Centaur-Buchwara line shall be observed, during which the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Centaur and Buchwara will remain off. Power supply to Mammer Zabarwan Park, Centaur Hotel, SKICC, Nehru Park, Dalgate, Dal, and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 to 10:00 hours on 19 July 2025.Likewise, the shutdown of the 33 KV Brein-Nishat line shall be observed, affecting the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Brein-Nishat and PHE Dal Bandh. Power supply to Brein, Tulip Garden, Brein Phallo, Taj Vivanta, BSNL Exchange, Nishat, Foreshore Road, Pathan Bagh, and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 to 10:00 hours on 19 July 2025.Furthermore, a shutdown of the 33 KV Centaur-BB Cant. Tap line shall be observed, during which the 33/11 KV Receiving Station at BB Cant. will remain off. Power supply to BB Cant. will be affected from 07:00 to 13:00 hours on 19 July 2025.Meanwhile, to carry out branch cutting and preventive maintenance of the 33 KV Pampore-Badamibagh line, a shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore-Badamibagh line (Sonwar Tap line) shall be observed. The 33/11 KV Receiving Station at Sonwar will remain off, and power supply to Batwara, Shivpora, Indranagar, Badamibagh (partial), and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 to 12:00 hours on 21 July 2025.Additionally, to carry out works under the RDSS scheme and other maintenance activities, a shutdown of the 33 KV Amargarh Watergam line shall be observed. During this period, the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Watergam, Hachipora, and Hadipora will remain off, and power supply to Watergam, Dangiwach, Hachipora, Hadipora, and adjoining areas will be affected from 08:00 to 13:00 hours on 19 July 2025.
