In a commendable effort to prioritize road safety, Team ARTO Reasi conducted a robust awareness and enforcement drive simultaneously at Katra and Reasi. The central theme of the campaign aimed to instill the crucial message: “No fine, No 2w movement – come with helmets and take your 2-wheeler.”
During the campaign, 25 bike riders in Reasi and 40 riders in Katra were successfully persuaded to prioritize their safety by wearing helmets. The campaign’s impact extended to Baba Dhansar, where an enforcement drive resulted in the inspection of 16 vehicles. Among these, five were found to be operating in violation of various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
As a consequence of these violations, challans were issued, leading to the collection of a total fine amounting to Rs 8,500/-. This financial penalty serves as a deterrent to those who neglect the importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
