Samba, June 01: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and former minister, S Manjit Singh on Saturday said that the party will address issues of all the sections of society if it forms the next government in Jammu and Kashmir following the impending Legislative Assembly elections.
As per a press release, a monthly meeting of the Apni Party was organised at Vijaypur to discuss the different issues being confronted by the people regarding unemployment, farmers’ issues, women, and Refugees/Displaced Persons.
During the meeting, the former minister said that the Apni Party is all set to contest in the elections and if it forms the next government in Jammu and Kashmir following the Legislative Assembly elections, it will address the issues of all sections of society.
“The party and its leadership believe in bringing political stability, unity of all the region, and equitable development in Jammu as well as Kashmir regions,” he said, adding, “The issues of the Refugees/ DPs regarding the release of pending package amounts and increased unemployment among the educated youth will be addressed.”
Singh added, “All the vacant posts would be advertised and referred to the recruitment agencies. The recruitment would be held in a transparent manner to provide jobs to the unemployed youth. The Party aims to waive the KCC loan of the farmers, and accordingly, their issues will also be resolved.”
He assured the protection of the rights of the locals in mining and trade-related activities in Jammu as well as Kashmir. He said that the Apni Party’s government would end discrimination and protect the rights of the people.
Meanwhile, he also remembered the contributions and sacrifice of Shri. Bhagat Amarnath Ji and paid his tributes to Amarnath Ji for his struggle in support of the marginalised section in support of reservation.
Earlier, a discussion was also held to further strengthen the party and its ongoing, public outreach program. He appreciated the party cadre for their role in addressing public issues by highlighting them before the authorities.
“Jammu plains is facing the worst kind of heat wave that has affected the entire region and the authorities need to take special measures to timely handle the fire incidents and damage to the crops,” he said.
In the emerging situation, Manjir suggested that the authorities should constitute a control room in each district to monitor the situation, and coordinate with each other to avoid any kind of fire incidents.
“The situation has forced the people to stay in the door and has also affected the trade-related activities whereas human life has been exposed to dangerous heatwaves,” he said, adding that the authorities should stop unscheduled power cuts and purchase the required electricity to meet the demand in Jammu region and Kashmir region.
He said the power consumers are paying electricity charges, and they shall be supplied 24/7 electricity in Jammu and Kashmir. “The drinking water supply system has also collapsed in the Kandi belt and the people are hiring private water tankers,” he said.
