Srinagar, March 11: Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Saturday led a party delegation to visit the residence of party’s Provincial Joint Secretary Abdul Rahim Wani in Lolab to offer condolences over the death of his mother Hajra Begum.
Begum passed away on Thursday. She was the grandmother of journalist Irshad Ahmed Wani.
The delegation members included the party’s District President Kupwara and former MLA Karna Adv. Raja Manzoor Ahmed Khan, District Vice-President Mohammad Amin Bhat and other senior party workers.
Party spokesperson said the party leaders met the bereaved family members and extended their condolences and expressed solidarity with them in this hour of grief.
On the occasion, Ghulam Hassan Mir prayed for the departed soul and also conveyed a condolence message to the bereaved on behalf of the party President Altaf Bukhari.
“May the Almighty grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah and give the bereaved family patience to bear the pain of this irreparable loss,” he said.
