J&K Awami National Conference President Begum Khalida Shah has congratulated the victorious NC- INC alliance that removed the 10-year BJP rule from Kashmir unwarranted BJP.

In a statement issued here, She said, “The People’s verdict is clear that they have not accepted the unconstitutional decision of 5th August 2019 against which all of us stood like a rock inspite of the ruthless oppression & hardships unleashed on the people & its leadership.”

The ANC president said, “we remain steadfast in our resolve to get back our statehood, our flag, our Constitutional rights & above all the restoration of Article 370,35A with honour & dignity.”Though having been part & parcel of this fight along with all others in the NC, PDP,CPI(M), CPI, JKPM & others, the ANC played its role as one of the strong pillars in that struggle since 5th August 2019”, she added.

Most unfortunately permutations & combinations of electoral politics just a few months ago gained such a credence that it over-run our time-tested strong association forcing the parting of ways with a very heavy heart & having to take a different route to achieve the same goal.

“Nonetheless, while accepting the people’s verdict & not being a part of the legislature, the ANC stands in solidarity with the NC-INC alliance for all the rightful decisions to be taken for the implementation in bringing back our state hood, Constitutional rights, our flag & above all Article 370 & 35A as enshrined in the Constitution of India”, Khalida Shah said.

The ANC extends its congratulations to every candidate of NC, Congress & CPI(M) for their huge victory at the hustings & hopes for a stable govt in J&K

Begum Khalida shah also expressed her gratitude & thanked the ANC leadership & it’s workers who toiled very hard under very peculiar conditions after parting of ways with the alliance & getting hardly a month to prepare for the elections without a symbol till the acceptance of the forms of the contesting candidates barely 2 weeks before the polling dates.

The ANC chief further stated that her party will play the role of a responsible opposition with a strong voice.Elections come & go; victories & defeats are a part & parcel of this exercise.
