Anantnag, Nov 13: In a heartfelt tribute to Martyr DySP Himayun Muzamil Bhat, the District Police Anantnag organized a Knockout Para Cricket Tournament at the District Police Lines, Anantnag.
The event was aimed at encouraging and uplifting specially abled individuals, providing them a platform to showcase their talent in sports.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Anantnag, Dr. G.V. Sandeep Chakraborty, in the presence of SP Sheikh Sajjad and DySP Headquarters Mohammad Ayoub Rather. Addressing the gathering, SSP Anantnag described the tournament as a significant step toward boosting the morale of talented specially abled persons and emphasized the District Police’s commitment to promoting inclusivity in sports.
“This tournament is a huge success, and we are determined to provide more such opportunities to support and nurture the talents of specially abled individuals, both in rural and urban areas,” Dr. Chakraborty stated.
