Srinagar, April 12: Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, President of Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian and a founding member of Muthida Majlis Ulema and Moulana Syed Arshid Madni, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Principal of Darul Uloom Deoband, and Vice President of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), held an important telephonic conversation regarding the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025.
According to a statement released by the Anjuman’s spokesperson, Moulana Syed Arshid Madni expressed his gratitude to Aga Syed Hassan for offering full support to the AIMPLB. Moulana vowed that the Board would stand by any course of action deemed necessary in response to the controversial amendments to the Waqf Act. The conversation between the two prominent religious leaders underscores a unified stance within the Muslim community in India, particularly concerning legislative changes affecting Waqf properties.
