Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal chairs meeting to review departmental projects

Leh, Oct 08: The Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Dr Pawan Kotwal, chaired a meeting to review the progress of developmental projects/ works of various departments being executed by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) at the Conference Hall, UT Secretariat, Leh.
During the meeting, the Director of Finance, Dr Safdar Ali, briefed the Advisor, Dr Pawan Kotwal, about the budget allocations provided to various departments to execute developmental works through the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
Dr Kotwal emphasized the need to expedite budget allocation processes and directed the CPWD to ensure that projects are completed within the set timeframes. He also instructed the concerned departments to properly use the funds, ensuring they are effectively utilized to complete the developmental works.
Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal emphasized the importance of collective efforts from all officers to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the utilization of resources. He stressed that every rupee spent must contribute meaningfully to the holistic development of Ladakh. The Advisor instructed the concerned officers to ensure that developmental works are carried out with integrity and that public funds are used responsibly to create a lasting impact on the region’s progress.
Commissioner/Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Dr Vasantha Kumar N; Commissioner/Secretary, Planning & Monitoring Department, Dr Laltinkhuma Franklin; Administrative Secretary, PWD, Michael M. D Souza; Deputy Commissioners Leh, Santosh Sukhdeve; Chief Engineer, CPWD; Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Abdul Mutalib; Additional Secretary, Finance Dr Safdar Ali; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh/ Kargil; Directors of various departments were present during the meeting. The officials stationed outside attended the meeting virtually.
