Srinagar, June 28: Additional Director General of Police (Armed), Jammu and Kashmir, Anand Jain Saturday chaired a high-level meeting at the Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ), Srinagar, to review preparations for the upcoming 10th All India Police Judo Cluster 2025–26 and the ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ Cycle Race.
A statement issued to Rising Kashmir said that the All-India Police Judo Cluster, a prestigious national-level tournament, will be hosted by J&K Police in Srinagar, bringing together top athletes from police forces across the country. The cycle race, scheduled for July 20 at the Police Golf Course, Lake View Boulevard Road, is expected to draw over 3,000 participants, reflecting growing youth interest in fitness and competitive sport. During the meeting, Jain conducted a thorough review of key arrangements including logistics, accommodation, venue readiness, transportation, medical support, and security protocols. He instructed officers to adhere strictly to timelines and ensure smooth coordination for both events. Emphasising the importance of such initiatives, the ADGP stated that these events aim to promote a culture of sport in Jammu and Kashmir and provide a platform for emerging athletes. He highlighted their role in encouraging discipline, fitness, and unity, as well as uncovering hidden talent within the police and civilian community. The Judo Cluster is expected to serve as a vibrant display of team spirit and athletic excellence, reinforcing camaraderie among the country’s law enforcement personnel. Senior officers in attendance participated in the meeting via video conferencing.
