Action against terrorism: SIU raids at multiple locations in Ramban, Kishtwar

Srinagar, May 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Investigation Unit on Wednesday conducted raids on houses Pakistan-based terrorists at multiple locations in Kishtwar and Ramban districts..
Clamping down heavily on the Terrorists settled in POK and their sympathisers, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Ramban Police on Wednesday again carried out raids at multiple locations in District Ramban in the houses of terrorists and their relatives, who are operating from Pakistan occupied kashmir. 
While divulging the details, SP RambanMohita Sharma IPS said that the houses of the terrorists and their sympathisers,  who are settled in POK/PAK and are continuously trying to revive the terrorism in the Chenab Valley, were raided yesterday. 
These houses belonged to the relatives of Pak/Pok settled militants: Qari Abdul Latief originally resident of Koot Ara Khari, Reyaz Ahmad Bohru, resident of Arpinchla, Khari, Fayaz Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Bohru both resident of PinchalaKhari. 
 
“During the course of searches, a lot of incriminating digital and non digital evidences were collected which shall be analysed so as to subject these sympathisers of militants to judicial determination for their involvement in anti-national activities and perpetuation of terrorism”, he said.
 
SP Ramban further disclosed that all those supporter/associates of terrorists whose involvement surfaces during investigations shall also be prosecuted. And the support system which is assisting these inimical elements in reviving the terrorism would be destroyed at any cost.
Meanwhile, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Kishtwar Police on Wednesday again carried out raids at multiple locations in Kishtwar district in the houses of terrorists who are operating from POK/PAK.
SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal-JKPS said that CIO Kishtwar DYSP Vishal Sharma after obtaining house search warrants from NIA court Jammu in a case registered under UAPA Act at PS Kishtwar against terrorists.
The searches were conducted in houses of Azad Hussain S/O Ab Majid R/O Affani Padder, Gazi-Ud-Din S/O Mohd Ayoub R/O JugnaKeshwan, Bashir Ahmed Mughal S/O Gh Qadir R/O JugnaKeshwan, Sattar Din @ Rajab S/O Mehar Din R/O JugnaKeshwan who are presently operating from POK/PAK, searched their respective houses/residential premises.
“During the course of searches, the evidence collected shall be investigated so as to subject the accused persons to judicial determination for their involvement in anti-national activities and perpetuation of terrorism,” he said.
SSP Kishtwar further disclosed that all those supporter/associates of terrorists whose involvement surfaces during investigations shall also be prosecuted. 
“The searches are aimed at eliminating the militant ecosystem in the district by identifying various over-ground workers and supporters of terrorists,” he said.
