Srinagar, May 03:In a significant move, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has de-notified 23 schools from Hard Zones, with their Annual Regular Examinations set to be conducted in Soft Zone Areas from the academic session 2024-25.
Among the excluded schools are BHSS Surasyar in Budgam district, Govt. Boys High School (BHS) Verinag in Anantnag district, and 22 schools from the Educational Zone of DamhalHanjiPora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
According to an official notification issued by the Director Academics at JKBOSE, this decision comes following the approval and partial modification to a previous notification regarding the adoption of the Uniform Academic Calendar.
“The Annual Regular Examinations of the classes conducted by the JKBOSE in these schools/institutions will now be conducted in the Soft Zone Areas starting from the academic session 2024-25,” the notification stated.
