New Delhi. April 29: AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam virtually inaugurated the third phase of Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp at 9 different locations in India (from J&K to Kerala) on 29th April, 2024.
The IDE bootcamp is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE to nurture the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurial skills of Student Innovators.
More than 2500+ Student Innovators and Innovation Ambassadors from Higher Education Institutes will be participating in the third phase of 5-day IDE bootcamp, scheduled to be held from 29th April, 2024 to 3rd May, 2024.
While inaugurating the IDE Bootcamp, AICTE Chairman highlighted “The IDE Bootcamps represent a beacon of hope, illuminating the path for our youth to tread upon. With over 2500 student innovators and innovation ambassadors from various educational institutes, we witness a convergence of talent and determination like never before”.
Maharaja Agrasen University Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, Amity University Raipur, Banaras Hindu University Varanasi, Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering Ernakulam, KLE Technological University Hubli, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Srivilliputhur, Graphic Era Deemed to be University Dehradun, SSM College of Engineering J&K & National Institute of Technology Goa are the 9 host institutions/Nodal centres from across India selected to conduct the 5-day IDE bootcamp.
This bootcamp is being organized in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, renowned for its support of entrepreneurship education, which will train the participants in product design, ergonomics design thinking and pitching skills to thrive in today’s dynamic business landscape. The IDE Bootcamp offers an immersive and action-packed 5-day program focused on hands-on, experiential learning. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into various product design methodologies, foster design thinking concepts, and gain invaluable experience. Also there will be multiple Motivational Talks by various startup founders specially from SIH alumni who will inspire participants specially from J&K and Ladakh students for Entrepreneurial Career.
On the first day the participants will showcase their innovation in the exhibition and on the fourth day the local tour has been arranged for the participants to provide them real-world insights, networking opportunities, and creative inspiration, enhancing their entrepreneurial mindset. On the final day the student teams will pitch their innovations in front of expert panels consisting of startup founders, incubators, lP experts, angel Investors and VC’s & knowledge agencies. In this phase some of the renowned speakers and design experts of national and international repute will also deliver the training sessions at these 9 locations.
The IDE Bootcamps exemplify the government’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, propelling India towards becoming a global hub for innovation-driven enterprises. It’s crucial to note that a total of 16 bootcamps were held in Phase-I and Phase-II, with over 4000 students and faculty participating.
