The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and other officials on Sunday Morning rescued 20 vehicles stuck in the snow at Razdan Top on the Bandipora-Gurez road.
An official from the BRO told Rising Kashmir that the vehicles were stranded due to unfavorable weather conditions, including snowfall.
The nearby BRO unit took immediate action to rescue the trapped individuals and their vehicles, ensuring their safety by transporting them to a secure location, he said
The Gurez region, particularly the Dawar and Tulail areas, experienced light snowfall. Officials said that the weather conditions posed a risk to travelers on the road due to the significant drop in temperatures below freezing.
The Bandipora-Gurez Road has been closed by the administration following fresh snowfall on Razdan Top.
