Snowfall causes temporary closure of Srinagar-Leh highway

Ganderbal, April 20: Heavy snowfall in five areas of Zojila has led to the temporary closure of the Srinagar-Leh highway, disrupting traffic flow.
According to Traffic Police official avalanches have occurred at Daniyal, Pani Matha, Mandir Morh, and Bajri Nalla, leaving numerous passenger and vegetable vehicles stranded at Zojila Pass.
Traffic police have halted vehicles from Kargil to Sonamarg after reports of snow avalanches. Despite efforts by the Beacon authorities to clear the landslides, continuous snowfall has resulted in further complications, hindering their operations.
