National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Mr Ajay Sadhotra today exhorted the people to shoulder their responsibilities in preserving the idea of India by rejecting the divisive forces that are hell bent to weaken the world’s largest democracy.

Addressing a public meeting at Halqa Tokdian in MARH, Mr Sadhotra sought overwhelming support of the people for INDIA Bloc Candidates in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections, saying that their vote is crucial for saving the nation and
protecting Baba Saheb’s Constitution.

He said the need for preserving the Constitution has arisen more in the light of the BJP’s clandestine attempts of fiddling with it.

It is imperative to underscore its pivotal role in shaping the democratic fabric of our nation. The Constitution, meticulously crafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, stands as a beacon of equality, justice, and fundamental rights for all citizens. Baba Saheb’s vision for a just and inclusive society is enshrined within its sacred texts, serving as a guiding light for generations to come. Therefore, the democratic and secular forces should unite to foil the machinations of the BJP to trample with it, he added.

Sadhotra invoked the democratic responsibilities of the voters as custodians of this valuable document to safeguard its principles and uphold its spirit in all spheres of governance and societal discourse. In the face of challenges, be it social or political.

He said the Constitution has provided a soothing umbrella to all, irrespective of region, religion, caste and ethnicity.

“Let us draw strength from the wisdom of Baba Saheb and reaffirm our commitment
to the ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity. Let us embrace dialogue, inclusivity, and the rule of law as we navigate the complexities faced to the society due divisive political discourse set in motion by the BJP to further their sinister political agenda”, he said, hoping that the people will unite to teach the BJP a lesson through their power of ballot.

Sadhotra urged the voters to come in a big way on the D-day of elections and ensure huge mandate to the INDIA Candidates Raman Bhalla and Lal Singh.
