As Eid-ul-Fitr festivities approach, the Traffic Police in Srinagar has issued a stern appeal to young individuals, urging them to refrain from fast driving, racing, and engaging in dangerous stunts on the streets.

A senior traffic official, speaking anonymously, emphasized the risks associated with reckless behavior, highlighting that violators will face on-the-spot penalties, with their parents being duly notified.

“Special teams have been deployed to monitor and deter such activities, particularly focusing on areas prone to such incidents,” the official told KNS.

Collaboration with district police has been established to enhance vigilance and enforcement measures.
In a direct plea to parents, the official underscored the importance of not entrusting vehicles to minors and ensuring responsible driving habits among young drivers.

The Traffic Police has been actively engaging with youth through counseling sessions, urging them to redirect their energy towards constructive pursuits, such as education, to foster responsible citizenship.

Efforts to streamline traffic movement ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr have been successful, thanks to meticulous planning and deployment of specialized traffic squads. Reports indicate smooth traffic flow across key areas of Srinagar, attributed to the cooperation of the public and diligent efforts of traffic personnel.

With collaborative efforts and continued vigilance, the Traffic Police aims to maintain safe and efficient traffic conditions throughout the Eid festivities in Srinagar.(KNS)
