Srinagar, Nov 23: About 24 Dy.SSP probationary trainees including four Dy. SSPs of Jharkhand police who are presently on Bharat Darshan Tour and are attached with different CRPF units visited SDRF Kashmir Headquarters, Srinagar to get acquainted with Disaster Management and the role being played by SDRF in the UT of J&K.
During the visit, the Dy. SSPs interacted with senior officers of SDRF 1st Bn. who briefed the visiting probationary officers about the role and working of SDRF during disaster including pre-disaster preparedness, response & operations during disasters as well post-disaster assistance in relief and rehabilitation.
On the occasion, the High Value Rescue equipments were also displayed and their utility was explained to the probationary officers besides they were given tips regarding Basic Life Support and Search & Rescue methods.
The visiting officers also attended the session where Aapda Mitra Volunteers were being imparted skills regarding Disaster Management at SDRF 1st Bn Srinagar.
