Rajouri, Dec 22: Department of Mathematical Sciences, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri, on Thursday celebrated National Mathematics Day. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akbar Masood congratulated the department for organizing the event.
The program began with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Dr. Zaheer Abbas in which he briefly highlighted the significance of the day. Afterward, Dr. Mehar Chand (BFC) delivered a comprehensive lecture on LATEX followed by some short talks by the postgraduate students of the Department on Ramanujan and the theme “Mathematics Everywhere”.
Later in the evening, Prof. A.P. SINGH (Ex Vice Chancellor (in-charge)) of Central University of Rajasthan) delivered a lecture on the nice behavior that the analytic function show. More than 80 people participated in various events.
In continuation of the celebration of National Mathematics Day, Prof. Zafar Ahsan (AMU) will also deliver a lecture tomorrow (December 24). All the faculty members of the department were present during the proceedings of the event.
