Ramban, Jan 10: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam along with President MC, Ramban, Sunita Sumbria on Tuesday inspected the construction site for the multi-storey bus stand in the town.
The MC Councillors, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; CEO MC, Ramban, Sudarshan Kumar; ARTO, Saminder Singh, shopkeepers, vendors, members of the transport union, and others were present on the occasion.
Reviewing the measures taken by the concerned departments for temporary shifting of the bus stand to a suitable location to start the construction of the Rs 23 crore Multilevel Bus Stand Project, the DC directed the CEO MC, ARTO and another stakeholder to relocate vendors to suitable places besides taking care of the interests of shopkeepers, transporters and other stakeholders during the temporary shifting. The bus stand has been proposed to shift to Cafeteria Morh and Kowbagh.
The DC assured the executing agency of hassle-free working conditions to complete the mega project of public interest in a stipulated time frame.
