JK Bank officers’ association holds meet in Pulwama

Pulwama, Nov 18: The J&K Bank Officers Association on Friday held a meeting in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district which was presided by Riyaz Ahmad Bhat, President JK Bank officersAssociation Kashmir and Gen.Secretary of All India JK Bank Officers Federation.
 
Various office bearers of the central leadership and district bodies from Pulwama and Shopian took part in the meeting which included senior vice President Showket Ahmad Naikoo, General secretary Mufti Shujat ,District President Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Khan, District President Shopian Muneeb Mansoor Bhat, Federation member, Syed Zaffar and others. 
Talking to media Riyaz Ahmad Bhat said that the main aim of the meeting was to have interaction with their district members and introduce the district bodies with the local management(zonal office Pulwama)
“Through the interaction we try to give ear to various issues faced by our employees at local levels and then try to raise these issues with the government, Bank management, corporate bodies and other linked associations for their redressal,” he said, adding that by resolving these issues they want to help the JB Bank to achieve further growth and progressive with the involvement of all stakeholders.
He informed the media that All India Bank Officers Association has given a protest call on 19 October. All India Bank Employee’s Association strike call has been given moral support by All India Bank OfficersAssociation the parent body ofJKBOA(K) for which they planned protests in Srinagar.
He said endorsing the call as an affiliated body with the central association, they have sought permission from authorities for holding a representative strike at any three designated places. 
 
“Because of certain reasons we can’t go for full protest and as such we want to stage a symbolic protest at three sites proposed before authorities,” he said, adding that so far, they have not received any communication from the authorities in this regard.
Replying to a question about discouraging of the temporary overdraft loans by the bank’s management he said that they have been curbed to maintain the financial discipline.
“The human resource of the bank is ready always to maintain and continue the economic prosperity and excellence of the region. The bank has played a vital role in building the economy of the state and we will leave no stone unturned in continuing the endeavour,” he said.
