Jammu, Sept 28: The teams of State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Wednesday conducted raids in Poonch district in connection with a terror funding case.
Police sources said that raids were conducted in the residences of two siblings at Kunaiyan and JulasBera Villages of Poonch District.
They said the SIA had inputs about the involvement of the Poonch brothers in funding terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
“So, separate teams were constituted and the houses of the siblings in Kunaiyan and JulasBera Villages were raided today and incriminating material was seized from their possession,” police sources told The Rising Kashmir.
“The analysis of the seized material would be done and leads that would emerge, would become the basis of further investigation,” police source further said.
Similar raids were conducted in Poonch earlier on August 20, 2022 after Rs. 10 lakh cash was recovered from a local resident, Abdul Hamid, from Jammu’s Bus Stand area. A Delhi-based garment trader, Mohammad Yaseen, was also arrested after the recovery of the cash from Jammu Bus Stand area.
