Haath se Haath Jodo: Congress launches month-long agitational campaign in JK

Jammu, March 05: The Congress Party on Sunday kick-started the month-long agitation-cum-awareness programme- ‘Haath se Haath Jodo’.
          As part of the programme, the party took out a protest rally from Janipur area of Jammu to Raipur in Muthi Domana against the BJP Government alleging that the BJP led central government is “anti-people and has failed to curb inflation and unemployment”.
The Congress workers, led by former Union Minister and AICC In-charge, ‘Haath se Haath Jodo” campaign, raised slogans against the BJP led central government like, ‘property tax vapis lo, ‘bulldozer drive band karo’, ‘Mehnghai ko kabu karo- kabu karo’, ‘berozgari dur karo’, ‘masoomo ki hatya band karo’, ‘Nafrat Chhodo-Bharat Jodo’ etc.
          The protesting Congress workers were also carrying placards, national flags and party flags and slammed the BJP for burdening and troubling the common masses.
          JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, ,Working President Raman Bhalla, former ministers  Mula Ram, Yogesh Sawhney, Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma, Kanta Bhan and other senior leaders of the Congress Party participated in the protest rally.
          While addressing the protesting Congress workers, Vikar Rasool Wani lashed out at the BJP government for the unprecedented price rise of all commodities especially LPG, petrol, diesel, and eatables.
          The LG administration has imposed property tax on common people which should be withdrawn, he said.
