Baramulla, March 5: Eleven-days after a 50-year-old man sustained injuries in a mysterious blast while digging in his kitchen garden in Warpora area of Sopore, succumbed to his injuries here on Sunday afternoon.
According to police officials, Mohammad Jamal Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, a resident of Warpora in Sopore, was injured on February 23 in the blast.
“The injured man succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Srinagar Sunday afternoon,” police said.
Dr. Zulfikar, the Block Medical Officer of Sopore, stated that the deceased had suffered head and eye injuries and was transferred to Srinagar hospital for advanced medical treatment.
The police official said that the victim was digging in his kitchen garden when the blast occurred.
The cause of the explosion remains unknown, and a case has been registered to investigate the incident.
