84th CRPF Day was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at Group Centre, CRPF Srinagar location on Sunday.
On this auspicious occasion, the day started with firstly paying homage to martyrs at Shaheed Samarak by Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, Inspector General, Srinagar Sector followed by elegant guard of honour at Quarter Guard.
Thereafter, a Sainik Sammelan was organized at Shaheed Pramod Hall wherein Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav highlighted the importance of the day and entry to this effect also made in the Visitor’s Book. During the Sainik Sammelan a large numbers of senior officers and men deployed in the Kashmir Valley were present.
Thereafter, a Sector level Felicitation ceremony function was also held wherein Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG Srinagar has presented the Best Cost effectiveness and Financial Discipline Trophy for the year 2021-22 to Shri RD Jeany Anal, Commandant 183 Bn, CRPF and Best Administrative Bn Trophy for the year 2021-22 to Shri Mohd. Khalid Khan, Commandant 218 Bn CRPF for their outstanding contribution in the respective fields.
To mark the celebration, a friendly volleyball match also organized between the CRPF personnel of Group Centre Srinagar and personnel of Pre-Induction Training. On this occasion, Bada Khana were also arranged in the evening at all the respective Force Messes.
R.K. Sharma, DIG, Srinagar Sector, Shri R.S. Rawat, DIG, Shri Mathew A John, DIG (South) Srinagar, Shri Kishore Prasad, DIG, Srinagar Sector, Shri Rajesh Kumar DIG, Dr. R.C. Bishariya, DIG(Medical) of Group Centre Srinagar, various unit Commandants, other senior officers and Jawans remained present to witness these functions.
