Former chief minister J&K Omar Abdullah Wednesday asserted that New Delhi is using its full might to defeat National Conference in upcoming Lok Sabha polls. He however said that party is fully geared up for elections and is hopeful that people will extend their wholehearted support in elections.

“In times of Sher-e-Kashmir (Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah), the Janata Party, local political parties of JK, religious leaders got united against NC founder to defeat him. This time as well A, B and C teams of BJP are on the same page and are executing plans against our party. Even New Delhi is using its full might to defeat National Conference in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,” Omar Abdullah as per KNS claimed while speaking to reporters here in Srinagar.

He said NC is ready for elections and is hopeful that people of Jammu and Kashmir will extend their full support to the party.

Replying to a query, the National Conference Vice-President said “No election is easy. It depends on the circumstances. This time New Delhi is employing its all tactics to overcome on us. In last elections gun was used against NC and also militants targeted our leaders and workers selectively, but NC contested polls in adverse circumstances even”. (KNS)
