Full Dress Rehearsal for Independence Day-2023 held across Kashmir valley

Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, J&K Police and security forces besides students from various schools and colleges had a full-dress rehearsal of Independence Day parade today across the Kashmir valley. On the occasion various colourful cultural programmes were also presented by the artists & students of various schools and colleges.

Various contingents of J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Protection Forces, IRP, CAPFs, NCC Cadets & students from different schools participated in full dress rehearsal for the Independence Day parade. 

In Srinagar, a colourful full-dress rehearsal & cultural programmes were held at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar Bidhuri and Additional Director General of Police Shri Vijay Kumar were chief of guests. Div Com Kashmir hoisted the tricolor and took the salute from the march past presented by various contingents of J&K Police, Students and CAPFs.

In Awantipora, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Awantipora in which ADC Awantipora Shri Zaffar Husson Shawl-KAS unfurled the National flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past. SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS, DySP DAR DPL Shri Hilal Khaliq Bhat-JKPS and other senior officers of civil administration, police department and other concerned were present on the occasion. 

In Shopian, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Shopian where Additional Commissioner Shopian Shri Shahbaz Ahmad Bodha was the chief Guest and took salute of the March past. The ceremony was witnessed by huge public gathering who also paid rich tributes to Martyrs of Police by way of showering flower petals at Police Memorial wall at DPL Shopian. 

In Pulwama, the ceremony of full-dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Pulwama. Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama Dr. Sheikh Aziz (KAS) accompanied by ASP Pulwama Shri Tanveer Ahmad Dar unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute from the march-past. DySP DAR, DySP Hqrs, other senior officers of police, civil administration and other concerned were present on the occasion.

In Anantnag, the ceremony of full-dress rehearsal programme was held at Government Boy’s Degree College Anantnag where Additional District Development Commissioner Anantnag Shri Bashir Ahmad Wani was the chief guest who unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the March-past. 

In Kulgam, full dress rehearsal parade for Independence Day celebration 2023 was held at DPL Kulgam where ADDC Kulgam Shri Showkat Ahmad Rather-JKAS alongwith Addl. SP Kulgam Shri Shabir Ahmad-JKPS hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade & took the salute at the march past. ACR & ACD Kulgam, DySP HQRS Kulgam, DySP DAR Kulgam, DySP PC Kulgam and other officers of Police and Civil administration were also present on the occasion. 

In Ganderbal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri Mehraj-ud-Din Shah-JKAS was the chief guest who unfurled the National Flag & took the salute of the March Past during the full-dress rehearsal held at Madr-e-Meharban Qamariya Ground Ganderbal.  

In Budgam, a comprehensive full-dress rehearsal was held at Sports Stadium Budgam. The event was marked by a series of patriotic displays including march-past and cultural programmes, highlighting the unity and fervour of the community in commemorating this significant occasion. Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mr Akramullah Tak unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the march past. ASP Budgam Shri Gowher Ahmad Khan, ADC Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone and other Civil and Police officers were also present on the occasion.

In Baramulla, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Baramulla where ADDC Baramulla Shri Aijaz Ahmad Saraf hoisted the National Flag who was accompanied by SP Hqrs Baramulla Ms. Divya D-IPS and took the salute at the march past. CEO Baramulla, District Sports Officer Baramulla, DySP Hqrs Baramulla, DySP DAR DPL Baramulla, SHO PS Baramulla and other officers of Police, Army, CRPF, SSB and civil administration were present during the full-dress rehearsal.

In Sopore, the ceremony of full-dress rehearsal was held at Khushal Sports Stadium Sopore in which ADC Sopore Shri Shabir Ahamd Rawa-JKAS unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at march past. SSP Sopore Shri. Shabir Nawab-JKPS, SDPO Sopore, DySP DAR Sopore DySP PC Sopore and other officers of Police, civil administration and other concerned were present on the occasion.

In Bandipora, full dress rehearsal for the Independence Day-2023 parade was held at SK Stadium Bandipora in which Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora Shri Ali Afsar Khan-JKAS accompanied by Addl. Superintendent of Police Bandipora Shri Sandeep Bhat-JKPS unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute from the march-past. On this occasion other senior officers of police department and civil administration were present. 

In Handwara, full dress rehearsal parade for Independence Day celebration 2023 was held at DPL Handwara in which Sub Registar Handwara Shri Arshid Hussain-JKAS unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and also took salute at the march past. Tehsildar Handwara, Dy.CEO Handwara, Medical Superintendent DH Handwara and other officers of Police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.

In Kupwara, full dress rehearsal parade was held at DPL Parade Ground Kupwara where ADC Kupwara Shri Gh Nabi-JKAS hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade & took the salute at the march past. On this occasion senior officers of Police department and civil administration were present.
