Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 230 grams of contraband Charas like substance during routine patrolling at main market of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad -JKPS, Offg. DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob Naveed Qazi-JKPS, SHO PS Baramulla arrested 2 Drug Peddlers namely Adil Ahmad Sheikh @Adil Channa S/O Altaf Ahmad Sheikh & Adil Ahmad Sheikh S/O Javid Ahmad Sheikh both residents of Dewanbagh Baramulla who was coming from Nanak Bhawan towards Main Market Baramulla* on reaching Main Market and on seeing patrolling party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehend tactfully by the alert patrolling party.
“During their personal search 230 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately”, he said.
He said that case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion.
