District level badminton, tug of war tournament inaugurated at Ramban

Ramban, June 08: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Ramban on Thursday inaugurated the District Level Badminton and Tug of War Tournament for U 14 and U 17 Boys and Girls here in the District Police Lines.
A total of 169 boys and girls participated in today’s tournament.
The event   was organised to promote sportsmanship, talent, and healthy competition among the youth of the district.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of ZPEOs of Banihal and Khari and other officials of YSS department Ramban.
This grand event marked a significant milestone in fostering the growth of sports at the grassroots level and providing a platform to young participants to showcase their skills.
The District Level Tournament encompasses multiple categories, including Under 14 and Under 17 Age Groups for both boys and girls, ensuring equal opportunities for participation and recognition.
ZPEO Banihal Zone YSS Ramban at Venue addressed the audience during the inauguration ceremony expressing their gratitude to the participants, and all those involved in organizing this sporting extravaganza.
They emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and overall personality development among the youth. ZPEO   Banihal highlighted the commitment of the department to identify and nurture talented individuals, providing them with the necessary infrastructure and support to excel in their chosen sporting disciplines.
The tournament promises to be an enthralling display of skills and sportsmanship, as young participants compete for the coveted titles in Badminton and Tug of War matches filled with strategic moves, precise shots, and remarkable displays of talent from these talented youngsters.
The Youth Services and Sports Department Ramban extends its gratitude to the District Administration, heads of the institutes, staff members, and Technical Officials who have extended their support for this event.
In Badminton double Girl u14 Winner is zone Khari runner up is zone Gool in single 14 girls zone Ramban is winner zone Khari is runner up in double u17 girls runner up zone Banihal winner up is zone Ramban,single u17 girls winner up zone Ramban runner up is zone Batote, double u14 Boys winner is zone Banihal runner up is zone Ukhral. u14 single boys winner up Batote runner is zone Gool.
Similarly in Tug of war u14 Boys zone Banihal is runner up Khari is winner, zone Banihal defeated zone Khari in u17 Boys Tug of War and in u17 girls zone Banihal is winner up.
The whole tournament was organized under the guidance of DYSSO Ramban Dharamveer Singh and overall supervision of by incharge Activity Arun Kumar.
