Ganderbal, Aug 15: In a commendable acknowledgment of his exceptional efforts towards enhancing farmer outreach and the development of farmer-friendly technologies, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Reshi, Assistant Professor of Animal Nutrition at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (FVSc & AH), SKUAST-K, was bestowed with an Appreciation Letter and a momento on the eve of Independence Day by the District Administration of Ganderbal.
Under the guidance of the Division of Animal Nutrition at SKUAST-K, Dr. Reshi spearheaded the creation of the ‘Region Specific Mineral Mixture,’ branded as ‘Kashmin.’ This novel formulation has yielded tangible improvements in animal health, production, and reproduction. Moreover, his mentorship of students in crafting innovative products tailored to the needs of farmers has not only generated livelihood opportunities but also contributed significantly to the overall well-being of livestock.
Head of the Division of Animal Nutrition, Prof. A.M. Ganai, and the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-K, Prof. N.A. Ganai, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Reshi for his remarkable accomplishments. Dr. Reshi’s dedication to leveraging scientific advancements for the betterment of rural livelihoods underscores the pivotal role that academia plays in fostering sustainable agricultural practices and positively impacting communities.
The recognition of Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Reshi’s efforts on the cusp of Independence Day stands as a testament to his commitment to advancing agricultural innovation and directly contributing to the prosperity of farming communities. His initiatives exemplify the synergy between academic research and grassroots empowerment, creating a ripple effect of positive change in the lives of farmers and the livestock they depend upon.
