Srinagar, Apr 08: Tabinda Memorial Society Handwara on Saturday held a felicitation program and career counseling in honor of all those students who have qualified for the NEET/JEE and Tabinda Science Olympiad Exams. The dignitaries from different walks of life participated in the event.
The program started at 11 am with the recitation of holy verses from the Quran and Naat-i-Nabi (SAW).
Chairman District Development Council Kupwara Irfan Sultan was the chief guest and Principal of the Government Degree College Handwara Professor Dilruba Rasool Hamadani was the guest of honor. Cash certificates were awarded to all those students who qualified for the NEET or JEE.
The parents of these students received these certificates on behalf of their wards. A certificate of appreciation and cash prizes were also awarded to the first ten top students from 9th and 10th grade from different schools who qualified for the Tabinda Science Olympiad held in November last year.
The majority of students who qualified for NEET and JEE were adopted by the organization. Almost thousands of students participated in this event and shared their ideas.
The presidential address was given by DDC Chairman Kupwara Mr Irfan Sultan Pandithpuri and a vote of thanks was given by the Chairman of the Municipal Committee Handwara Mr. Masroor Banday.
