Srinagar, June 01: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) General Secretary Khalid Tufail on Thursday assumed his Kashmir Province charge at the party’s head office in Sonwar.
Gulzar Ahmad Wani President South Kashmir, Peer Bilal President Central Kashmir, Altaf Dar VP Kashmir, Aamir Bhat DP Srinagar, Mushtaq Khanday DP Shopian district were present on the occasion.
The party heads warmly welcomed Khalid and expressed their confidence in his leadership abilities with the hope that with his efforts, the party would reach new heights in the province, a DPAP statement issued here said.
During the official ceremony, Khalid Tufail extended his gratitude to party chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad and other senior party leaders for entrusting him with this important responsibility. He acknowledged the faith placed in him and vowed to fulfill the expectations of the party and its members.
Khalid expressed his determination to make unrelenting efforts to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, working tirelessly to connect with the people of Kashmir and address their concerns effectively. His appointment is seen as a strategic move by the party to enhance its presence and engagement in the region, particularly at the grassroots level, the statement said.
