Ganderbal, Oct 20: A state-of-the-art children’s park is coming up in the Ramwari area of Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Spearheaded by the Rural Development Department, the project is aimed at creating a safe and enjoyable recreational haven for the local children.
Construction of the park is underway, with the Rural Development Department sparing no effort to ensure that the park is equipped with a range of playing equipment, green spaces and facilities that will cater to the diverse needs and preferences of children.
Ghulam Nabi Kaloo, a local sarpanch, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “This park will be a boon for our children. It will not only provide them with a fun and healthy place to play but also promote social interaction among kids of different age groups.”
A noteworthy aspect of this endeavour is the vigilant oversight provided by the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Gund. Entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the construction process, the BDO ensures that the park is developed in a timely manner and adheres to the highest safety standards, providing parents with peace of mind.
The local authorities firmly believe that this park will serve as a valuable asset for the community. It is expected to foster physical activity, creativity, and a sense of camaraderie among the children of Ramwari and neighbouring areas, enriching their lives and strengthening the bonds within the community.
Anticipation runs high among the residents of Gund, who eagerly await the completion of this children’s park. Once finished, it is poised to become a cherished space for the district’s young souls, offering them not just a place to play but a nurturing environment to grow, learn, and create lasting memories.
The Rural Development Department (RDD) official overseeing the project said that once the park is completed, children will have an engaging place to enjoy. “The park is designed to provide a beautiful recreational space for kids,” he said.
